The Body Shop: Tea Tree Facial wash.

Happy Saturday! Sorry if you haven’t got oily/combo skin and the last two posts have been for spot prone skin (ops). Anyway this review is on a product I have fallen in love with, I have been using this now for nearly two weeks once in the morning and once at night and can honestly say I have noticed a difference in my skin!

I don’t think I will ever be spot free, but this facial wash has really helped to clean the spots I have. Every month during the lead up to my period I have a HUGE under the skin spot on my chin and nothing clears it up. Last night I could feel it starting so applied this and it has reduced in size without a doubt!

The Product

This product is available in The

How To Use

There is no “instructions” on how to use this facial wash so the way I have been using it is the following. Washing my face with warm water to get rid of any dirt, then applying a small amount in my hand and gently massaging into my face. The wash does laver up so you know where it has been and where you’ve missed. Then I just simply wash it off my face with warm water!

How Does My Face Feel?

GREAT! After using this for 2 weeks now my face still feels cleaner 4 hours after using it.

A great example is I went on a night out and usually my skin the next day feels oily dry you name it my skin feels it, so I used this in the morning and couldn’t believe how FRESH my face felt!

Even after one wash you can feel the freshness in you skin.

Only thing I will say is I have been using this twice a day and notice my face getting a little dry so I’m only using once at night now!

________________________________________________

So thats it all in all I totally recommend this wash if you have oily skin! I have tried all the face washes and non of them seem to work for me.

Thank you for reading this post, I recently had a little splurge on skin care let me know if you want a haul!

L’oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask

Hello and happy Tuesday! Todays post is going to be on a product that has been circulating the blogsphere for months now. After reading numerous blog post I caved and bought the L’oreal Pure Clay mask myself. I have used it for the first time about 2 hours ago and what to give you a review on how I have found the mask. Lets get started..

The mask is currently £5.99 in boots, down from £7.99, comes in a box with the product in a glass container with a plastic lid. Feels very high end rather than drug store if I am honest great quality packaging.

18446910_1348311901915064_5932103886768813355_n

What it claims?

  • Immediately: skin is pure and clearer
  • One week: skin feels fresher and more luminous
  • On going use: skin can breathe and is visibly transformed

On the box it claims that it can be used 10 times, I beg to differ as I hardly used any on my first application. The product is in date for 12 months after being opened!

How To Use

On clean skin, apply a thin layer all over the face 2-3 times a week. avoid the eyes and lips then leave to dry for 10-15 minutes, then remove with a wash cloth and warm water.

My Application

I used a flat foundation brush to apply the product, hardly took any product used the excess off the lid! A little bit went a long way which I was very impressed. The product was very smooth when I was applying wasn’t rough like some masks are.

This is the first time I have used a brush to apply a face mask and I can say what a bloody good idea. It feels nicer, cleaner and less messier! I cleaned my brush first of course and washed the brush after it!

Whats the mask like when set

One thing I like in a mask is when it hardens on your skin, then I feel like its doing something. Once it is dry then it goes all dotty when the product gets into your pores, looks funny but its cleaning out them pores!

(Warning face mask face)

Wash off

To wash it off I used a warm wash cloth and it came off so easily no scrubbing was required! A lot of people said it was “messy” I however did not find the washing off stage to be messy at all.

Overall Opinion

Obviously my opinion might be different to others but I loved this product. My skin looks clearer after a few hours and feels smoother, I think the texture of the mask is very rich considering its a drug store mask! This opinion is based on me having oily and spot prone skin! Cannot wait to see the results after a few uses, feel free to comment and let me know your experiences with this mask or if you have tried the other two Loreal masks!

My Tanning Routine

Happy Sunday! Sorry that the schedule has been a little all over the place it’s hard with work🙁.

Anyway today’s post is going to be my tanning routine! I am an absolute tanaholic, have been using fake tan since I was 12 due to competitive dancing so I know a few little tricks!

I usually tan 2 or 3 days before I am going to the event I want to be bronzed for 💃🏽.

(NIGHT TIME) I start off by showering and shaving my arms and legs (obviously if you do shave) then I use Nivea’s in shower moisturiser, this stuff is honestly life changing!

After I’m showered I get dry then use an exfoliating mit (using a sanctuary one atm but primark and other stores sell them!) I use the soap and glory body butter on the mit then apply it on my legs, arms, elbows, knees and my neck (or anywhere that gets dry) this gives you a nice smooth base to tan on.

After about 15 minutes when your body butter has sunk into your skin then it’s time to tan!

I use the St Moritz DARK tanning mouse. Of course everyone is different and it takes a couple of fake tan disasters to find the tan for you!

I use a fake tan mit and latex glove to apply the fake tan (glove as sometimes tan sinks through the mit). I like to apply 1 or 2 coats for a strong colour.

Then go to sleep!

🤚🏽prepare to look like a chocolate bar when you wake up the next morning

Then all you need to do is shower the next morning then all the residue will shower off you and you will hopefully have a lovely bronzed glow💋

Thank you so much for reading, let me know what fake tan you use.

Love Me Beauty MAY: review

Hello! Todays post is going to be another Love me beauty review, last months is HERE if you want to read that one, but lets get started.

This month I decided to go for bigger products as I was in need of some new tools, instead of make up. I am trying to cut down a little on buying make up as I now have so much I am hardly using the stuff I have.

18301602_1341618049251116_500895081905379502_n

Again I have been so happy with the products I picked this month, a little dissapointed in the manna Kadar Beauty not because of the actual products, but due to the size of the same. ANYWAY i’ll get on..

I am so into powder foundations and bronzers at the moment. I feel like this time of year you don’t want about 5 layers of make up on so a little foundation/powder and bronzer and you’re ready to go!

SAMPLE SIZE- HUGE! This is a full size brush for sure, I have used the brushes from last months box and absolutely loved the size of the brush!

FIRST THOUGHTS- SO SOFT. There is nothing worse than brissly  brushes am I right girls? These are amazing quality this cost me 20 CREDITS, which I think is fab

Like everyone I am forever wanting to perfect my contour skills. I thought this might help me out with cream contouring as I find it difficult to do and have yet to master it!

SAMPLE SIZE- Thought this product would of been a little bit bigger. Although seems a good product.

FIRST THOUGHTS- the beauty blender attached feels as if its good quality! Its a good size to hold its not to chunky, glides nicely over my skin!

After trying the MANNA KADAR powder and loving it I thought this was a good option to go for. I think lip glosses are great for this time of year!

SAMPLE SIZE- Tiny bit small! The image shows a full size product ( should of read the small print I guess). Guess it will still last me forever, as my lip products never seem to run out for me.

FIRST THOUGHTS- Absolutely love the colour of this product! Think its perfect for this time of year goes with any outfit! Might do a full review on this!!

MAKE UP BAG- as well as picking your products LOVE ME BEAUTY also gift you a small make up bag which is perfect for your handbag! This months is so beautiful it reads “Just wing it life eyeliner everything” which I love.

Boutique of Molly UK Manhattan Bag Review

Hello again. Todays post is all about Boutique of Molly which I discovered on Instagram! I am not one for boutiques normally as I am always sceptical of quality and usually stick to the usual Asos or Topshop etc. However its important to support smaller businesses and my friends always order from there so thought why the hell not!

They sell everything a normal online store do such as bags, dresses, playsuits and tops. I am a bag addict so decided to start with a bag and see how I go! The lovely people at boutique of molly have give me a 20% off code for you lovely readers which is MELISSAJONES20 (this is off everything so knock your selves out girls and boys).

When your products arrive they come in the cutest pink packaging, who doesn’t love a pink parcel right?

18198603_1335790596500528_6904609850248330200_n

Lets get started then the bag its self is a very good dupe of the Louie Vuitton “never full” handbag, justifying £920 for a bag is a no no for me so I think £25 for this B.O.M is a bargain!!

18341869_1335759816503606_670568413302851217_n

When it arrived I was amazed at how much space the inside has usually with big bags theres just the one compartment and you turn into Mary Poppins and everything sinks to the bottom. Although in this bag there is 4 pocket compartments as well as the actual inside of the bag, them being two zips and 3 pockets. Zip pockets for me are an absolute seller for me as you can hide all the stuff that you don’t want the world to see!

18268164_1335759813170273_4039335179771605673_n

I love the fact its got a zip then a pocket then another zip on one of the sides as it means you are not cramming all your lady products into one side of the bag! I have used the big pocket to keep my reading glasses, sun glasses, hair ties, my inhaler and a hand cream in as usually they get lost in my bag and I cannot find them!  Then the two zip compartments have all things period in and the other had tablets in (as I am a walking pharmacy).

18275122_1335782809834640_1367245586737616446_n.jpg

Another great factor of the bag is that its got a zip you don’t find many tote bags with zips!! My boyfriend goes spare as I will walk around busy cities and airports with my bag wide open for the world to have a mooch, so was impressed to see a zip!

18221657_1335759833170271_5116591233543996004_n

The best thing about tote bags is how comfortable they are to carry this bag is so comfy on the shoulder. I seem to find with totes they are heavy but the weight is well distributed!

If you are interested in this bag in particular then its £25 but if you use my code MELISSAJONES20 then its only £20!

You can visit the Boutique of Molly site HERE they ship to

I had my bag delivered on express delivery and it got to me super quick I ordered it on the Friday (weekend + monday was a bank holiday) and received it Wednesday.

Clarifications- I paid for this bag myself.

April Favourites

Hello and happy sunday💕. Again it is that time of the month where I complain about how quick the month has gone! Tomorrow is the first day in May and I’m so excited as it’s my birthday month!!

I haven’t tried many new make up/beauty products this month so it’s an array of items this time!

Make up/Beauty

Porefessional primer-  I have been absolutely loving this product the past month or so! I have very oily skin and this primer makes my skin feel silly smooth in a nob greasy way! It is a very lightweight product and I love wearing it!
Laura Geller powder foundation- I have been using this as a powder rather than a “powder foundation” it is great for coverage and really gives me that flawless look without looking too cakey!

Boiing concealer- I’ve spoke about this ALOT but this month seems to be the worst for spots and under eye circles. If you are in need of a good concealer then definitely give this one a go!

Pixi Caroline Hirons double cleanse- in my blog post review on this I was a little harsh but after about 2 months I cannot live without this product. I much prefer using this to take my make up off rather than my usual micealler water. Only down fall is when I use it on my eyes they run like water falls!

They’re real double the lip (rose)- got this in my birch box and I have used it every day since! Definitely going to be buying a full size version of it!!

Miscellaneous

Eastenders- if you don’t know what eastenders is then it’s a uk soap drama that’s on weekdays! I have been loving watching this recently the story line at the moment is on bullying and the characters are making the story very believable and relatable.

Water- trying to cut down on sugary drinks was a lot easier than I thought! I am a Pepsi and coke addict and usually drink 2 bottles a day (which is bad I know) I have started filling a big water bottle up and drinking that during my dinner in work.

iPhone 7- this month I upgraded my phone! Only from the 6 to the 7 but it’s surprising how slow my other phone was and how good the camera is on the 7!

Toon blast- I am not one for games on my phone but downloaded this recently when my wifi went down and I’m so addicted. If you are looking for a public transport game or a kill 10 minutes of the day game then get this! It’s free!!!

Thank you so much for reading this! Let me know some books you guys like ATM as I want to get back into reading x
