Bourjois Holiday Collection – Influenster

This month I was chosen to receive a Vox box from Influenster. If you have never heard of it, it’s an app where you review products and gain points then some people are sent PR samples!! In a nutshell it’s a great idea. I was randomly picked to be sent the Bourjois Holiday collection, I was so happy as I love there products so getting them for free was a bonus.

In total I was sent 8 full size products they were the following

Healthy Mix Foundation

Healthy Mix concealer

Push up mascara

3x Rouge Velvet lipstick

Smokey stories eyeshadow palette

Blush in shade 34 Rose D’or

I have tried 7 out of eight products so I will do a quick review on each of them on this post!

I have used healthy Mix foundation years ago and it is not as I remember I was shocked at how much coverage it had! Despite not being my colour I mixed it with a bit of Clinique and the coverage is amazing! I’ve found it stays on all day too giving a dewy look all day!

I love this mascara, I am a mascara addict hence the name of my blog. This is a little tricky at first but it gives you lovely long separated lashes!!

This palette is the only item from the collection I am yet to try. I am however petrified to try out purple!

I have been dying to try this out for so long! Gutted I didn’t get it sooner it is so soft on the skin and such a beautiful natural Rosey pink! However I am terrified of dropping it as it looks like it would crumble….

I am so shocked with the staying power of these lipsticks! The pigmentation of the lipsticks is amazing I think I would only wear 2/3 colours as one is a little too brown for me but I’m so happy. They apply so smooth and they don’t drag on your lips!

There we go so that’s what I got in my Vox box! I hope you enjoyed seeing this let me know your favourite Bourjois products! Thank you for reading!!

Primark False Nail Review

Hello we are almost to the end of November and I cannot believe how close Christmas is creeping up on us… I am going to try and do Blogmas this year (emphasis on the word try), but I thought I would put up a short review tonight on the Primark false nails.

Primark nails have made a break through the last month or so and as a nail fanatic I could not wait to get my hands on a set or two. Now there are so many different colours and shapes matte or glitter you name it, its there. Sets of 24 range from £1-£3 depending on what you want.

I picked up two sets both were £2 each so in total £4 for 48 nails and two sets of glue bargain right? I went for “Rose Glam” which is a gorgeous pink glitter and Desire which is a mix of dark pink and glitter!

I have tiny finger nails so I knew I would have to do quite a bit of modifying to make the nail fit mine nicely. Away I went and glued the nails on, the glue is very strong and will stick your fingers together (as I found). They went on lovely and looked so pretty!

I applied the nails on Wednesday night before going to bed, they then lasted a full 9 hour shift in retail! Which I was so impressed with to say the least, Friday was an easy day of Traveling and walking around Blackpool but they lasted all day.. I lost the first nail at 00:30 on Saturday morning after a few drinks since Saturday I have now lost 4 nails!

Despite them only lasting 3 full days I am still pretty impressed with them, they are such a good idea for christmas party season, and if you don’t want to pay £30 for a set of acrylics. I don’t think I would recommend them if you’re going on holiday and don’t want to have to faff about with your nails if they come off.

Thank you so much for reading

Skin Care Routine (Oily Skin)

Hello again, I posted on my Instagram last week about my skincare routine and a lot of followers were really interested in what products I use. So this Sundays post is going to be my daily/ weekly skincare routine, for oily/acne skin type. I have never had great skin since I was about 13, I feel like these products that I am using at the moment are the only products that have give me any results…

Obviously its going to be different for everyone and these products are not guarantee going to work on your skin. However if I help one of you thats a start I guess…

Sunday Evening- Remove make up using Liz Earl Cleanse and polish and remove left over eye make up with Nivea Micellar water. Apply a face mask depending on condition of skin.

As you can see reading through I try to take a break every couple of days from using Tea Tree oil, as too much can strip some of the natural oils in your skin. If I am having a particularly bad skin week then I will increase the amount of detox masks and tea tree products.

November Love Me Beauty (Monthly Subscription)

Hello, this week has gone quick how is it Wednesday, like every month I am going to share what I have received from my love me beauty box. Unfortunately I was so disappointed with this months edit, so I have actually cancelled my direct debit for next month. All the new items cost 100+ credits (you have 60 per month), and I wasn’t willing to pay more for their new edit. I did however have a lot of referral credits so I decided that I would spend them all this month and cancel. If next months edit is good I think I will join again but who knows…. If you are signed up to subscription services then let me know!

First Item I picked out is the custom coverage buffing brush by Eco Tools, I do own this brush already but I want one to keep in my boyfriends and one to keep at home as carry my brushes back and to is a nightmare.

Next I picked up the Enhancing Eye Set also from Eco Tools, I never spend much money on eye brushes as I am not the best at eyeshadow. However these are great for traveling as they’re double sided.Next item I picked, was another brush from Eco Tools which is the Skin Perfecting Brush, I am desperate for a new contour brush and this one looked really firm. Now stepping away from the make up brush madness, the next item is an eye cream by Caudalie. I have never tried an eye cream before and want to know what all the fuss is about before I invest into an expensive one! I have terrible tired looking eyes and this cream is supposed to be energising to I am hoping to see some result. Next item is a make up item by So Susan Cosmetics, and it is a highlighting pencil. Now I picked a highlighting pencil out last month and am still yet to use it but I love the colour of this one and just couldn’t leave it there. I am hoping it is going to work perfect on the inner corners and brow bone! Another Caudalie product now, but this time its a Radiance Face Serum. I am currently using SkinKissed and am loving using a serum in my day to day routine. However I am wanting to try a different serum now as my face is so dull with no make up.  (any tips please leave in the comments)Back to the make up, I picked this up I think 2 months ago in a Love Me Beauty Edit and I am LOVING IT. I am such a sucker for a good lip gloss and this girls/boys, if you love a nude lip then you need this gloss in your life. Buxom is a relatively new brand but they now sell it in Debenhams!!  This Perricone MD Facial wash really intrigued me, I have never tried a face wash that is not a cream/ gel before so I am so interested to try this out! It is citrus as well so I am hoping that it will help out with my dullness in my skin!

There we go then so that (could be my last) Love Me Beauty haul, If not then I will see you around the same time next month, who knows I might try out a new box in December, so let me know what boxes you all get!!

Thank you so much for reading…

POPBand London – Review

Hello, I am trying to get back into the swing of blogging again as I have became so lazy. I also need a hobby besides shopping at the moment as I am now SKINT. About 4 months ago in my Love Me Beauty subscription box I picked one of the POP bands hair ties not knowing what to expect. I have heard such good reviews about these hair ties but do they really work?

These hair ties are supposed to be kind and gentle to your hair, I can confirm this 100%! I tend to buy my hair ties from Primark and get 50 for £1 which is amazing but if I wear my hair in a pony tail all day I do start to get a headache. These pop bands do not hurt my head or pull any of my hair out when I pull the hair tie out, which is something that I dread when having my hair up all day.

Not only are pop bands kind to your hair/head, they look a lot cuter that your average black hair tie on your wrist. I am someone who always has a hair tie on their wrist.

They don’t just do hair ties they also sell hair bands and shoe laces, so perfect for you active folk out there.  I am yet to try anything other than the hair ties but I am sure I will have to invest soon, If you have tried any then do let me know in the comments below!

The designs are something I feel as if they are KILLIN! They have your essential colours i.e. black, nude and brown but they also sell glittery bands and CHRISTMAS designs yes thats correct they have christmas designs available! Down below I will include some of my current favourite designs!

Battle Of The Micellar Water’s

Hello again. We are now into September and shops are starting to get their Christmas items sent in and there big fluffy coats (fur coat on my list this year!). Over the last year or so I feel like the skin care world has exploded there’s micellar water for any problem out there. All the options out there both high end and drug store make it very difficult to know what’s worth the hype and what’s just a load of rubbish.

My skin is Normal/Oily and I suffer from spots on my skin, mainly just hormonal and stress. I will be doing a short write up about my experience with each product and also rating them out of 10. Obviously the opinions are my own so you might like the product I dislike, but I thought sharing my opinion may benefit some.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I went through a period of repurchasing this item every time I emptied the bottle. I wouldn’t say it does anything for my skin that actually benefits my skin in anyway, although it does remove my make up. However I do not think it’s the best for removing eye make up it is a very dry (if you can get a dry water). Although for you guys with oily skin out there this water would be great as there isn’t any oil, and it doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily like some make up removers does.

I would give this a 7/10.

Price: I think the price of the micellar water is very reasonable; it is always on offer in one drug store or another! It also lasts a while too, I always think getting the bigger bottles is worth it!

Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Cleansing Water

2283246

I only bought this once, so for me that does say a lot. Like the Garnier water I don’t think it did a lot for my skin, I remember it being a lot more gentle than most Micellar Waters I have tried. I think if you suffer from sensitive skin then this one is calling your name, for me I wear a lot of make up daily so I need something with enough power to get every little bit off my skin!

I would give this a 6/10

Price: I always find simple products to be quite expensive, on boots website it is £4.95 at the moment which for a make up remover I find a little pricey.

Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water Combination & Sensitive Skin

Garnier-Skin-Naturals-Micellar-Cleansing-Water-Combi-400ml-460800
Despite the fact I haven’t bought this one as much as the other Garnier water (pink), I do think this one is one of my favourites. Unlike the other micellar waters I find that this one is much better at removing eye make up. I love the feel it gives my face after using it, makes your skin feel very refreshed! However I don’t think if your skin is very dry then it may dry your skin out a little bit, but it does work in my favour. I do although find I need to moisturise a lot more when using this.

I would give this an 8/10

Price: Very much like the other Garnier water, its always-on offer somewhere. So the price does jump about a bit, always shop around if you are thinking about purchasing this.

Nivea Daily Essentials Gentle Caring Micellar Water Dry Skin

Now I know what you’re thinking I don’t have dry skin… Buying this one was a total fault however it has worked in my favour, this one removes my make up better than any micellar water I have ever bought! It is a little oily but nothing too harsh for my oily skin, think it really helps removing my eye make up especially mascara! I am on I think my 4th bottle of this stuff and am yet to find something that matches up to it.

I would give this a 9/10

Price: I think that this product is the best price wise. It is usually around £2/3 for a large bottle (400ml) Savers, Boots and pound worlds always have this Micellar water in stock and it’s always on offer!
Thank you so much for reading this post it was a long one, let me know your favorite miceller waters I have a couple on my “to try list”.

Lush Halloween And Christmas Wish List

Now I am a lush addict and love near enough everything they create from bath bombs to hair masks you name it I will try it! I love the fact their products are not tested on animals and are ok for veggies and vegans to use!

After ready a couple of blog posts I have create my very own wish list for what I want to pick up next time I pop into store!

I have to admit I am not a huge fan of Halloween I am more of a Christmas type of girl. However I rather a nice bath with some goodies than a Halloween party any day!

img_2827

First item I found is the Pink Pumpkin, now I love pink and I love glitter so this is everything I like in a bath product. By looking at the product I think it’s going to smell quite feminine and floral with a zest of lemon in there too. Only thing I do now like about bubble bars is having to crumble it under the water and they turn out to be very messy and sometimes stain your baths so they require a little bleach… I am dying to get my hands on this little pink pumpkin but will definitely be cutting it up as £4.25 for a few bubbles is a little pricey, but its all about the novelty right?

img_2828-1Next up is the monsters ball, I think this bath bomb looks so cute! I love the detail that lush put into creating all their bath bombs. By the sounds of the ingredients of this bomb it sounds like it is going to be a very sweet scent so maybe stay away from this cutie if you’re not into sweet scents. I also find that the pink bombs are always the most pigmented in the water and always leave your bath a lovely colour! £4.50 is a bit on the dear side so I can imagine that this bath bomb is going to be a little bigger than your normal ball like bath bomb.

img_2829-1

The last thing that I liked the look of out of their Halloween range is the Pumpkin bath bomb I mainly think the look of this appeals to me the most! From looking at the ingredients I think the scent will be very spicy, almost pumpkin like! I am hoping that I do enjoy the scent of this one, as some brands can over do the “pumpkin” smell and thats way to strong for my little nose as I am more of a sweet scent type of person. However for the novelty of it I will definitely try this one out, like the previous bomb this one is £4.25 so hopefully a little larger than other bombs..

Now it’s time for my favourite season every and also my favourite season for lush products…. CHRISTMAS.

img_2830

Now I feel like you are either a snow fairy person or you aren’t and I certainly am! This year I am so excited that Lush have brought out so many snow fairy products, its really nice to see the scent used in more than two items as it is such a good seller. I am yet to try out one of the jelly bombs yet and have heard that they are a little messy but I think I can justify the mess for the scent? The price of this one is steep, £4.95 for a bomb, I think if I do pick this one up I will cut it up a bit.

img_2832Now this one that I got so bloody excited over “christmas sweater” put a cute reindeer on a product and some snow and you have your self a buyer! The name of this one appealed to me as well as the bomb its self, it just looks like such a warm bath bomb for a cold winters night. After looking at the ingredients to this bomb I was certainly correct, the scent is going to be quite spicy and strong so I would keep away if you’re only a fan of scents such as snow fairy. The price isn’t too bad on this one £4.50 for a christmas themed bomb.

img_2833

Now this one really caught my eye yet another brand new bomb from lush “thundersnow”. This is one for all you sweet scent lovers out there, on the website one staff member of lush has described it as “mint chocolate chip ice cream” now I cant even imagine my bath smelling of ice cream but I am more than happy to give this one a go. I don’t think lush have ever brought out something like this before especially around christmas time!

img_2834

Now I cannot remember if they did this particular bath bomb last christmas but the certainly did something similar. This bomb looks like it is going to be very sweet smelling, refreshing and also moisturising, which is something I would not of gathered from the name at all! I was imaging something warm and spicy but the complete opposite. So maybe if you take your baths in the morning then this will be a great way to start off your winter mornings.

img_2838

Another newbie by Lush is “Plum Snow” and I absolutely love the name already. Looking at the ingredients I think this one is going to be a bit of a mixture between sweet and spicy. No mention of plum in any of the ingredients but who knows until I actually sample one. Now this bubble bar is hella pricey £5.95 for some bubbles, so I think unless I am head over heals with this scent I might just give it a miss..

img_2841

Now this one is new to me I don’t know about Lush, but I have not heard of the Snow Fairy Body Conditioner. Now lush’s body and hair products I find to be very pricey for the amount you get and also messy as they do come in containers rather than squeezy bottles. However I feel like if you suffer with dry skin and you are a snow fairy fan then this will be right down your street!

img_2842

I need this in my life, I have no idea for the life of me what a cold pressed soap is but I know for sure that I want to try it out! Also I can justify the price for a soap as you do get more than one use out of it, and for the scent of snow fairy (heart eye emoji!). I also really love the design of this little gem its almost child like.

img_2843

What the hell is a sparkle jar? Don’t worry I had to research this one too by the sounds of the description it is a moisture bar that melts with heat (so on your skin). This sounds so indulgent and I can really imagine it to soften your skin and leave behind the lovely sweet scent of snow fairy and will probably leave some glitter.

Well that is all I am lusting and wishing I owned at the moment from Lush’s new halloween and christmas collections. Please let me know in the comments if you have tried any of their new bombs, melts or anything else Lush create! I hope you have enjoyed reading this post, I will be sure to do a haul soon when I visit Lush.
