(H.U.G.E) TAM Beauty Haul

Hello! I have been having a scroll through my own blog lately and seen a lack of make up, beauty and fashion blogs which essentially is what my blog started out to be. However being so busy with trips has made me write up diary blogs of my trips, mainly for my own memories. However I haven’t got anything planned now for a while so lots of beauty and fashion coming your way so don’t forget to follow me so you know when I upload!

I went a little crazy the other week on a website I was not familiar with at the time but is now my little love! For those of you that do not know what TAM beauty is then it is a website that stocks brands such as revolution, freedom, pro artists and a lot more brands I haven’t heard of! The website is CHEAP they were in sale when I made this order so I couldn’t leave some of the things I picked up as they were as cheap as £3/4.

The first thing I fell in love with was one of the Revolution blush palettes, I have been dying to order one of these for a while now so when it was on sale I just couldn’t say no. Plus super drug does not like my debit card as no order ever works for me so I never get round to ordering revolution. The colours of the palette are so pigmented I was so shocked as there is many blushers that have very little colour to them!

Another item I picked up was the Freedom Pro Blush & highlight palette. This palette is gorgeous, It has a mixture of highlights, bronzers and also two blushes in it so you are getting great value for little money. The quality of the product is very much the same as the Revolution blush palette, nice and pigmented. The only thing that puts me off the palette is the small pans.

I am all over concealer at the moment I think that its the key to a flawless finish especially on my blemish crazy skin. So I picked up the ProArtist concealer palette, this has so many shades in it to play about with. You have your greens and pinks for colour correction and also all your normal concealer shades. The quality of the concealers are not bad at all they do the trick I do find them a little bit thin so if you need a really high coverage concealer then this palette wont be for you but for just covering up small imperfections its great, especially good for travel.

Shock another highlighter that I do not need… I couldn’t resist when I seen this, the picture doesn’t give this palette enough justice. It is s highlighter trio palette from Revolution, the pigmentation of the product is fantastic and leaves a lovely light glow!

Last item I bought is a gift set, from me to me. The main reason I wanted this was for the product inside it, but you could buy the product alone to for near enough the same price so I opted for the set as it includes two brushes and a strobe stick! I can say Revolution brushes are AMAZING, I love firm face brushes as I find that they blend my foundation in the best. As for the strobe stick I am yet to try it out but from a quick swatch its beautiful. The strobe palette was the product I actually wanted and I can confirm its gorgeous lovely shine on the highlight!

Until I paid and had my confirmation through I had no idea that if you spend more that £30 they send you a goodie bag of stock (guess its what they don’t sell or have left), but cannot say no to a freebie. I must say I was shocked I was expected two items at the most but when 11 items were in the bag I was blown away. I’ll admit some of the items I have given away as they’re not my thing but some of the products that did come in the bag are beautiful. I wont list all of the products but here are some pictures.

Thank you so much for reading this blog post, if you enjoyed it don’t forget to give it a like and don’t forget to follow me.

Primark Beauty – is it worth it?

Hello! Now a subject everyone is curious of is Primark and their venture into the beauty world! They are selling everything these days from pore strips to nail varnish and I am curious myself to know what everything is like, so let’s get started.

First thing I wanted to get my hands on are the PS nose pore strips, these were jut £1 for 4 strips!

BRILLIANT! These pull everything right out, I’ve used all sorts of brands when it comes to pore strips and these are by far the best, stomp all over Sephora Pore Strips! The only downfall is they do hurt to peel off and they leave a little white residue around you nose. However it does come straight off with water!

I have tested so many pore strips recently and these are the best by far.

9/10

Sili Sponge, something that everyone is raving about at the moment so for £2 I had to test it out! Used it today for the first time with my foundation. I think these are defiantly not a product for a make up newbie as they are quite difficult to get to grips with.

You need next to no foundation when using these babies as they will smear the littlest bit of foundation all over your face. I would say for someone who has a little more time when doing their make up then its a great way of saving on foundation as a little goes a long way.. However you still need to blend it out with either a brush or beauty blender!

6/10

If you read my blog then you will know that I love a good highlight, so when I saw these for £3 I just couldn’t leave them there! I never usually go for crayons I am more of a powder gal but who knows if I don’t try right?

After some testing these have become my best friends when doing eye make up looks, they look amazing on the brow bone and also on the inner corners of the eye!

8/10

Sticking to the same pattern, another highlighting stick the colour is very pinky and at the moment I am loving a pink highlight.

The only thing I am finding with stick highlighters is that they require a little more effort than you usual powder ones. As you do need to blend them in after you have swiped them over your cheek bones etc.

8/10

Can’t say no to nude colour nail polish am I right? I could not leave these colours there they are gorgeous 1 mauve pink a 1 nude/purple and 1 creamy colour.

I work in retail so it’s quite hands on meaning nail varnish doesn’t last very long on me because I am constantly using my hand. However I am bloody loving these I think for the price of them you cannot go wrong they last around a week for me just like all nail varnishes.

The pigmentation in the colours is great too. I usually have to do around two coats like I do with all nude colours, so I am impressed.

9/10

Brushes! I think with brushes you can either fail or win there isn’t an in between, as I was strolling round the make up I stubbled upon a small sale section and was instantly sucked in!

I bought a couple one from their trolls range and the other set was just a normal set of brushes. I can happily say I am impressed, for the price of these you just cannot go wrong I would say if you are new to make up and want some cheapy brushes just to have a play about with then these are for you! Also really good for your handbag save taking out your expensive brushes as there is nothing worse than either losing or breaking an expensive brush!

Something that has become my everyday favourite from Primark. Sounds very silly as they’re only cotton pads but I really like the size of these not just the size of the pad also the amount you get in them as I do use 2/3 a day to get off my eye make up. For 90p you cannot go wrong when boots and other drug stores are charging £2 ish for this size and many.

Let me know if there are any Primark beauty products that you are loving in the comments! Thank you for reading don’t forget to follow!

July Monthly Favourites

That's right I actually have some favourites this month! Happy Thursday hope you've all had a great July, other than suffering with the Florida blues I certainly have!

This month I have to admit I have bought a lot of new things from clothes, food to make up so this post may be a little varied but I'll get started.

Firstly I will start off with make up and Beauty favourites!

Eco Tools- over the past few months I have been trying out numerous Eco Tools brushes and I have to admit they are some of the best brushes I have ever tried. They are also very affordable too!

Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade- I am so late jumping on the bus with this product I know. However I cannot fault it, it is making my brows look 10x better than usual and really helping to get a definite shape!

The Body Shop Body Butter (vineyard peach)- I have been using this product before I apply my fake tan this month and I have honestly noticed a huge difference. My tan is going on my evenly and also lasting a lot long that it would without me using it!

Primark Pore Strips- that's right primark! These strips are absolutely amazing they are only £1 and definitely the best ones I have ever tried they are definitely worth trying out!

Pop bands- I had this recently in my Love Me Beauty box and I absolutely love it! It is a hair tie that doesn't leave a kink in your hair! Which works wonders for me as I have to sleep with my hair up. I totally recommend them!

Dove Deodorant- This is a weird one (I think), I have always been a sure girl. However this one was on offer so I grabbed it quick on my way to work one day and keep it in work for a refresh through the day. I can honestly say it is the freshest smelling deodorant I have ever used!

A bit of an odd beauty favourite I know, but I have been using these cotton pads from primark for about 3 months now and have got to say they are Fab!!! They're only 80p and they're the large ones so you can get more make up off with one!

For me nail varnish is a rare favourite just because I usually wear acrylics but totally amazed by Primark's Nail Varnish's. I work in retail so I am always using my hands the polish lasted a good 3 days without chipping!

Now it's time for my random favourites and there is quite a few this month!

Wilde Like Me by Louise Pentland- A YouTuber I have grow up watching! Recently Louise brought out a book and I am usually not one for YouTubers books but this one I just had to read! So glad I did too, it's on offer £5 in Tesco for the hard back and I read it in just under a week. Such a fantastic read and I am dying for the second one to come out!

Storage draws- I have a tiny room so best keep dreaming about fitting Alex draws in them to store my make up in. So opted for something to go under my dressing table out of the way but still look tidy to keep all my bits in! These have been a godsend they fit my make up pallets in all my skin care too! They are from Argos £19.99.

That's all for my monthly favourites this month let me know what you've been loving this month!

Love Me Beauty – July Review

Hello, happy Sunday once again! Today’s blog post is going to be what I picked in the July Edit from Love Me Beauty click here if you have no idea what Love me beauty is!

I loved this months edit, seen a lot of hate over it but I was so obsessed this month as i love brushes, skin care and nails so it was a perfect month for me!

Yet again brushes, there is more to the box than brushes but I just can’t leave them there as it’s great value for just £12! I picked the Retractable Face brush which is perfect for traveling ladies! The brush it’s self is so soft, perfect size too, definitely recommend eco tools!

Oh look another brush, I have been desperate for a new foundation brush and this type is my favourite to use! I have used the brush and I can say it’s amazing especially with foundation! Loving and soft too does a great job at giving you an even finish.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about “dragon blood” masks and serums so this was a must this month. I have terrible bags under my eyes so I really hope this sorts them out! I am yet to use it, hopefully it does something for me, if it does expect a review.

I used to LOVE doing my own nails, I’ve recently gotten lazy and get them done every now and then. However it’s so expensive so I decided to pick up this Nails Inc polish they had around 4 colours to choose from but this was more me! It’s a gorgeous colour on the nail and dries quickly!

Again another product I have heard a lot of good things about is the nip and fab glycolic fox daily cleansing pads, so I shall keep you updated. Tried a nip and fab exfoliater but didn’t think much but hope these work for me!

Thank you so much for reading I am so close to 100 followers, so if you’re not following already then please click that button!

Beauty Bay Haul

Hello and happy Sunday, 3 posts in one week I am doing good eh? Finally my beauty bay order arrived and I am so excited to share with you what I bought. The total of the order was £49 that was with a Promo Code.  Mainly picked up things I have wanted to try for so long now, so I will get started

First up is the L.A. Girl Foundation, now I love their concealer so thats mainly the reason I couldn’t leave it also the price at the moment it is only £8.80 which is a total steal! Only down fall is the shade looks a little bit dark so I will have to get mixing I think. I will try and do a review of it when I have tried it out!

Next is a product I have been lusting over forever and thats the Gerard Cosmetics Slay The Day setting spray. They come in about 8 different scents and this is the mango one, I have never tried a setting spray before so I am hoping to be wow’ed by this one. I must mention it smells gorgeous!

Next product is one that I am so late jumping on the bus with I know, Its the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade. I love having ‘fleeked’ brows so I have high hopes for this product, I have heard that its hard to work with but I will give it ago. Got the colour Taupe hopefully its the right colour.

Last item that I picked up was the Zoeva Contour Spectrum pallet, this was a total impulse buy as my friend told me about it. The size of it is relatively big just a little smaller than a ABH glow palette, it comes with 4 pans 2 contours and 2 setting powders. I am very keen to test this out. I will be doing a review on this without a doubt as I haven’t seen much about it online.

Thank you so much for reading, let me know whats on your beauty bay wish list so I can add to mine!

Love Me Beauty – June

Hello I am back, very tired, jet lagged and a little tanned I think the only way I can keep myself awake is to write this blog post! So todays post is going to be the June Love Me Beauty June bag/box, for those of you that are not familiar Love Me Beauty is a monthly subscription box where you pick what you want!

If you want to read more about the box then click here.

Any way I will get started this month I had extra credits to use so I got a little more than usually, but yet again I am so happy with the product quality. I got 5 products this month and a make up bag.

First Product I picked was the Eco Tools six piece day to night set, if you read my reviews each month then you will know how much I love the Eco Tools brushes that are available on love me beauty. This set comes with an angled face brush, pointed concealer brush, highlighting fan brush, eye shadow brush and a lip liner brush and also comes in a make up bag!19224874_1382753128470941_841660180065177837_n.jpg

Next thing I picked up was a Pop Band  I have heard really good things about these, if you don’t know what they are its a hair bobble. They are supposed to be gentle on your hair, going to start using them to sleep in.

19275225_1382752441804343_6314724575828836049_n.jpg

Next thing I picked was a detox mask by caudalie, never heard of this brand before but I love a good detox mask. The packaging is great very sturdy and its 15ml which I think is a good size for a sample product.

19396770_1382660051813582_5673031061545693834_n

The 4th product I chose this month was more brushes, I much rather receive tools as I grudge paying for them otherwise. This set is a little travel set and consists of a Powder and a foundation brush, I love travel size brushed as they don’t take up much room in your bag! Again these as Eco Tools so I know I will love them.

The Last product I picked up was mainly to test the brand itself they are Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips (press on lip stick), I have seen nothing but good things about CT and would love a good nude lipstick from there but want to see if they stay on all day! (any recommendations let me know!)

Whats In My Evening Bag?

Happy Sunday, I am so excited writing this post as I go on holiday in two days! Jetting off to sunny Florida, I have not scheduled anything to go up while I am away as I want to escape from everything and just relax. I will be posting on my Instagram so follow me over there to follow me around Florida!

However, that aside todays blog post is going to be a whats in my evening bag post. There is nothing worse than taking a huge bag out with you at night, say on a date night or if you are catching a movie with friends. I am using the Molly Boutiques Marseille bag, this bag is only £30 and is available here, use the code ‘melissajones20’ for 20% off EVERYTHING!

A Bit About My Bag

The bag its self has three compartments which is great as I carry way too much stuff, the 3 pockets are very roomy and have a lot of space. It is bigger than a lot of shoulder bags which I have had in the past, which is a good thing and the reason I tend to get bigger bags! The bag as a flap which fastens with a magnet, which is good as everything is secure.

This bag is black and perfect as it goes with any outfit, it has gold hardware which is a lovely touch to the bag makes it look so much more expensive than what it is!

Whats In It?

I try and keep the bare necessity, I try not to overload it with stuff I don’t need, So I like to keep it simple!

  • Card Holder/Wallet – If I am using this bag then I will change my wallet from a big one to just a card holder. This usually just contains my Debit card, some change and any loyalty cards I may need that night (aka nandos).
  • Phone- Although its nice to be social I cannot leave the house without my phone.
  • Lipstick- If I am wearing lipstick then I will carry that lipstick with me just to top up as the night goes on.
  • Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream- I honestly cannot live without this stuff, I carry it with me incase I get a cut or my lips chap!
  • Keys

Thats all I really carry about with me at night, I keep it nice and simple as I hate carrying a heavy bag around with me.
