Soap And Glory PORE REFINING MASK – review

When I saw these on Soap and Glory’s Instagram I could not resist so I was straight to boots and picked up the Pore Refining Sheet mask. Recently sheet masks are blowing up and every brand is bring out one or five different types.

I have oily skin, with blemishes and very dull skin so I am always looking for a mask that doesn’t leave my face oily!

I have to admit when I first opened the mask I was highly disappointed, it was soaking wet. I found it difficult to separate as it kept sticking and slipping out my hands, after separating the mask I popped it on my face to find it did not fit my face at all. It just didn’t fit the sides of my nose and my cheeks.

HOWEVER….

Despite the disaster so far, I wore the mask for 15 minutes like the instructions tell you. At first it tingles a little when you first apply the sheet to your face like a toner does sometimes, not uncomfortable more refreshing!  The mask has a fresh and fruity scent to it but not over powering, nor irritating to the skin!

After taking the mask off I dapped my face with a cotton pad just to get the excess product off my face.

My face 1 hour later is still soft, moisturised and my pores have reduced in size RESULT!

Would I buy this again?

YES. Really loved the result of this product, certainly the best sheet mask I have tried would recommend it over some of the other well known brands in Boots. Let me know your favourite sheet masks and thank you for reading!

Day Eight – Florida Diaries

After not getting back until late from the football we didn't wake up until gone 10 and we didn't really have any plans for today. So we just lazed about until 12 then went straight for some lunch in our hotel restaurant.

Undecided of what we were going to do today we decided on magic kingdom! By the time we had lunch and waited for a bus it was around 2, so we went on a few rides and used up our fast passes that we had left.

After being in Disney 8 days we still hadn't watched a parade we decided to wait until the next parade and watch one before we went home! Well it was amazing totally worth watching, I'm a little gutted we only watched the one but guess that made it more magical!

Here comes the rain…….. We decided to run back to catch the bus back to the hotel and we were fed up of getting wet.

After having so much fun playing golf yesterday we went to swan and dolphin and played their crazy golf which was BRILLIANT a total must!!

Then we hopped from park to park but everything was shutting so it was time to head to bed, ready for the last full day in Disney!

Day Seven – Florida Diaries

Day 7 was a little bit of a chill day we had nothing planed apart from a football game later on in the evening. So we decided to pop to blizzard beach and play crazy golf, there are two crazy golfs winter and summer and we played both.

However one hole in and a huge storm started and we had to stop playing, an hour later we were off and started playing. If you are looking for an afternoon to kill then I highly recommend crazy golf as it is so much fun.

We preferred the winter course to the summer but both were very fun!

After an afternoon of golf we headed back to the hotel and had some lunch before it was time to get ready for the football, which was in Downtown Orlando. It cost us $27 to get to Downtown Orlando for the game which is pretty steep, but were then told Uber put prices up when they know theres events on.

Its about a 20 minute drive from Disney to Downtown, we got into down town orlando and our Uber driver was taking short cuts through estates a little sceptical of course. Next minute our Uber driver informs us that we are in Paramore an estate in Florida with a very high crime rate GREAT! After being flagged down asked if we wanted to park on these peoples drives we finally got to the stadium!

The football was fantastic, nothing like a British match! Fans are brilliant and really get into the game, I am talking flares, songs and drums (apparently totally normal to stand on a platform banging a drum in America)! We both couldn't resist buying Orlando City shirts of course, they were on sale so even better!

We then left the stadium and walked with the crowd into Downtown Orlando as we had no idea where to go. After trying to find WIFI by standing outside numerous bars and restaurants we finally ordered an Uber back to our hotel!

We decided to grab some food from the hotel restaurant and took it back to our room, then we went to bed!

Thank you for reading!

Day six – Florida Diaries

Hello again, I swear I will great through these diaries one day 😂. The fifth day we woke up around 8am and headed off to universal studios via uber (Highly recommend using uber instead of yellow cabs). We were so excited to hit universal after hearing so many good reviews and recommendations from people, also this is where Hard Rock Cafe is which meant food!!!

After having 3 heart failures due to the price of one day ticket we entered the park! Had a good wonder around, got our bearings then decided which rides we wanted to go on. We didn't do a lot as I don't like upside down coaster and my boyfriend didn't want to get wet so we stuck to normal coasters and stimulates.

We finished Island Of Adventure after around 2 hours, went to board the Hogwarts express to Universal Studios, sat on the train then got taken off and told it was broken and it will take 3 hours to fix, not impressed…..

Overall I wasn't too impressed is IOT found it very tacky, if you have visited Blackpool pleasure beach then it's similar….

Into Universal studios we go, everything was a bit better than IOT, however there was a lot of work going on. It's just like one big film set a lot of familiar buildings such as the simpsons and Harry Potter. We then went on a couple of rides and then we got a little hungry so decided to go to Hard rock for food!

Hard rock was lovely as always the service was great!

We then got hit by a huge storm started in universal for about 2 hours in the storm but all rides were closed due to thunder so we decided to call it a day there.

Fed up and saddened by the day at universal we got a taxi to international drive and decided to do something non theme parky… Helicopter tour, got to admit I don't like flying that much so this was way out my comfort zone. However I loved it, totally recommend it if you are ever in Florida you can see for miles and miles!!

That's day 6 over with! Thank you so much for reading!

The Body Shop – Vineyard Peach Collection

Hello and happy Sunday, I am writing this in the past and should of been and gone to London by now. I thought with it being Sunday I would do a very chilled out post incase any of you felt like doing some sale shopping on a Sunday evening.

The body shop this summer came out with a range called Vineyard Peach which I was all over like a rash as peach is my favourite scent ever! I have noticed at the moment the body shop have deals on the peach range in store and online so thought it would be the perfect time to share my opinion with you! The collection has all the usual shower gel, body lotion, body butter just like every other scent you can get.

I didn’t get the FULL collection mainly because I do not need it all and it will hurt my bank balance. I did however manage to pick up the following

  • Body Butter
  • Body Lotion
  • Body Spray
  • Shower Gel

First up is my favourite product that the body shop do, there body butters! I haven’t used a good body butter in ages, and have started using this one every time I have a shower and I can honestly say its fantastic! I love fake tan so I apply this to my body before I apply my tan and it goes on so evenly, so theres a top tip for all you tanners out there. I also find it stops your tan from smelling horrible and strong! As for the consistency of the butter it is lovely and thick, so maybe not for you if you have oily skin but I have normal/dry especially on my legs and arms and find this solves all problems!

Next up is the Body Mist/spray, I love this as it means if I want the scent but haven’t got time to apply creams and butters I can quickly spray and I am good to go. As for how long it lasts I would say all day, I can defiantly still smell this on my clothes and skin throughout the whole day. The only thing I don’t like is that it is in a glass bottle and I wish it was in a plastic one so I could pop in in my handbag! Overall though I do really like this product!  Now for the product I have loved the most, I have purchased my second bottle of this shower gel I loved it that much. I find with shower gels you come out the shower and cannot smell it, with this one the smell stays with you for ages which I really like, it makes you feel lovely and fresh once you have used it. the gel is quite thick so you do not need much as it goes a long way.

Now for the last product that I own from this range, and the one I have not got much of a ‘review’ of. I think because I have been using the butter I haven’t thought about using this. However I have been using it in the mornings on my arms just to give me the peach scent. It leaves my arms feeling very soft. I like how it is not thick as it dries really quickly and feels very light. I will keep using this product and hopefully love it even more!

Well that is it for The Body Shop Vineyard Peach review, overall I have LOVED this range and hope they keep it all year round as it is such a beautiful scent. Defiantly check out the range as it was on sale last time I looked, as well as many other summer scents.

Thank you so much for reading don’t forget to follow my blog!

Room Tour

Hello, hope you’re all having a good week so far. I have been so busy lately working and just living I have not had time to sit down and write a blog post. I hit 100 followers the other day and to me that’s major, so I just want to quickly say thank you so much if you do follow me, if not why not start today.

My mum has recently moved house and although I stay mainly in my boyfriends I still have my own room, which meant new room new stuff am I right? Now my room is not completely finished mainly because I am not here enough to do a lot so its a work in process. Any ideas you guys have then please let me know, especially websites or places to get bits and bobs from, ok so I will just get started…

As you walk into my room the very first thing you see is my wardrobe and mirror. In the two bottom draws I have all my underwear then in the main compartment I have all my clothes that need hanging up i.e. dresses, trousers, jumpsuits and some formal tops..  My mirror is meant to have a stand attached but it takes up way too much room so for now it is just resting against the wall, its from Argos, pretty sure the wardrobes are Ikea! Next to my wardrobe I have my dressing table that never looks this neat (please say I am not the only one).  I always keep my laptop on my dressing table along with my lamp and mirror. My lamp is from Asda living and is so handy as it is right next to my bed so its very easy to turn on. I have just finished the book in the picture ‘Wilde Like Me’ it is amazing and I totally recommend it.       On the top I keep my make up brushes in glass candle holders which I picked up from The Range for around £2.50 each! Then next to that I have my acrylic plastic draws from amazon. These hold my favourite lip sticks on the top mainly all nudes with the odd plum, then my setting spray, kabuki brush by Eco Tools, micellar water and essentials like scissors, tweezers and plasters. In the top draw there is all my jewellery, then in the second I have all my favourite lip glosses and then in the bottom I have my mascaras, liners and lash glue.  Underneath my dressing table I have a set of four draws, I have wanted something like this for ages and finally found these in Argos. I use them to store my skin care, make up palettes and things like pads and tampons, as there is not a lot of room for storage in my room so these are so handy! This is the part I don’t like the most so all advice accepted, on my wall I have a collage of Polaroid pictures which I printed using LALALAB (totally recommend), really want a picture to put on the wall before the window.. then I have my window ceil which you would of seen in above pictures too I have a number of photo frames with some of my favourites pictures in! Then theres my bed I really want to get some pretty pink or white bedding as I think the grey doesn’t go as much. The pink cushion is from Debenhams and the throw is from Primark.

If you want to order some Polaroid pictures then download the app LALALAB and use the code ‘PG4UMJDU’ and get £5 off you can use it as many times as you want!!

Then there is my chest of draws which I am trying my best to keep as clutter free as possible! On here I just have my rose gold tray from Primark and in here I just keep all my The Body Shop skincare and my Chanel Perfume. Then I have a birch box which 1. looks nice and 2. is full of Yankee candle Tea Lights which I am yet to burn, just next to that I have ‘Festive Cocktail’ Yankee Candle burning I love this scent even though its Christmas opps. From Wilkinsons I have a Rose gold pen holder which holds two body mists my hair brush and my cotton pads. Lastly I just have a jar with all my change in just so its quick and easy if I ever need to grab change.

There we go that is my room tour, wanted to keep it quite simple other wise I would be writing all day. If you want to see anything in depth then let me know in the comments i.e. make up collection or wardrobe tour.

Thank you so much for reading and following my blog, I have recently started an Instagram to coincide with my blog so I can advertise my posts so go ahead and follow @lethallashesx and my personal is @melissaljonesx.
